About the event
Can't wait for our one of a kind Maestros of Argentine Tango and Folkloric dance to grace our intimate RiNo loft with their classes and guided practicas.
Friday night: Tango Canyengue ( Early tango style from Buenos Aires. Strongly syncopated, playful, and rhythmically grounded. Close embrace with bent knees and cheeky, accented steps.)
Sunday class at 3:00: Chamamé ( Folk influences. Musicality usually 6/8 or 3/4 rhythms with a polka-like lilt. Danced in a close embrace with flowing, walking steps.)
Sunday 4:30: Zamba ( Linked to provinces like Salta, Tucumán, and Santiago del Estero. Musicality: 6/8th rhythm, lyrical and gentle, often sung with guitar and Bombo. A dance of courtship and poetry. Movements, with handkerchiefs are elegant, symbolic and full of longing.)
Guided practica and light supper of soup and bread from 5:45 till 8:45PM
